Original Songs for Children
IT’S MUSIC is a company run by experts in the field of children’s music. Their YouTube channel is dedicated to creating fun, educational videos and modern original songs for children worldwide to enjoy!
The brief for each video is to use and adapt existing assets and animations to create an engaging music video for children. Each video features appearances from the two main characters Abi and Ade and sometimes Koko the dog.

Storyboarding
Each music video is storyboarded and structured to clearly see how the action will play out for the Verses and Chorus.
Generally, the verses are the same sequence with an alteration each time - eg a change of character performing the same action. And the Chorus is usually repeated with little to no change, until the final Chorus.
You can see here that the Character design hadn't been figured out yet, but the structure of how the video would work didn't alter much at all from this early version.
Stage Design
The stage was designed for simplicity to give the characters a comfortable presence, backed up by screens and lots of lightning to enhance their performance.
The lighting animation was designed to be looped, with each part of from the overhead rigging, the stage and backing lights all animated for different durations to make it feel more dynamic.
Interestingly, the overhead rigging was cleverly linked to a single Null object in After Effects, which moved in unison based on how the Null rotated.
