Hello, I’m Matthew Creed, a Cardiff-based freelance animator and motion designer.
I’ve been working professionally within the Creative industry since graduating in 2007.
For 12 years, I was the co-founder of Jammy Custard – an award-winning animation marketing studio that worked with clients around the world. Now, I’m freelance and taking on my extensive experience to create impactful videos for my clients.
Personal
Experience has taught me that when working with a creative, it’s good to know their interests, to find common ground that’s not just Animation/Art and gauge if they’re the type of person you would gel with.
With that said, here’s a bit about me and my interests.
I’m an avid music fan. The kind of person whose favourite artist alters each month, as I enjoy seeking out new music and seeing live acts. It’s a thrill walking into a small venue and not knowing who you’re about to see and what you’re about to experience. If you’re also a music fan, I’ll welcome any music recommendations. In return, I’ve put together a playlist below of some artists I’ve discovered over the years and highly recommend.
I’d certainly classify myself as a nerd and a big fan of Star Trek (TNG/DS9/Voy/Lower Decks), Transformers (G1 and collecting toys), and reminiscing about the golden years of cartoons of the late 80s/early 90s.
I’m also a board gamer, and enjoy seeking out new games to try. Most of the time it’s not about the game, but the social aspect and sitting around the table together. But a few of my favourite games are Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Quacks of Quedlinberg and of course Dungeons and Dragons.
