This explainer video for Glamorgan Telecom was produced by Jammy Custard Animation Studio in 2019. I collaborated on the script and storyboard but was primarily responsible for the animation, including rigging the characters.
The video introduces Jeff, the personification and representative of Glamorgan Telecom’s all-encompassing Hosted Communication service.
Jeff lives in the cloud, so there is no need for any boring office gizmos that clutter up the place. You can reach him easily using an IP handset, or his very own app, and an internet connection. Jeff keeps himself in shape, makes sure he is always up to date, and he doesn’t switch off; he’s constantly on the go, connecting you to your customers.
The design, branding, and tone of voice drew inspiration from 1950s-60s comics and advertising, capturing the era’s sense of life-changing optimism. The result was an insightful, entertaining, and memorable video designed to grab attention and leave a lasting impression.
