Welsh Government - R Number

This explainer video was put together in record time. The Welsh Government commissioned this animation during the 2020 Coronavirus lockdown to inform the public what the R Number is and how it was informing their decisions.

I was responsible for storyboarding, designing and animating this video.
When designing, I wanted the visuals to be engaging and respectful of the subject matter so that they appeared confident and reassuring to the viewers during a time of panic.

In addition, it needed to be something that could be produced quickly so the information could be delivered to the public and provide reassurance.

Thanks to the design approach and quick turnaround, further videos were made in this style, with slight updates, including how Vaccines worked.

I’m very proud to have played a part in helping people during a time of uncertainty.
